SOCIALE SCULPTUREN is een performatieve workshop voor families waar de positie van lichamen in een omgeving en tegenover elkaar centraal staan. Via spel komen we tot sculpturale formaties die (als je wil) onderlinge verhoudingen tonen. Dit heeft aanknopingspunten met de praktijk van familieopstellingen.
De titel verwijst naar het concept ‘Social Sculpture’ van Joseph Beuys. Deze visie is een radicale kunsttheorie waarbinnen ieder mens kan participeren en verantwoordelijk is voor de kwaliteit van de samenleving waarin hij leeft. De kracht van kunst als universele taal bevordert de toegang van de artistieke creatie. Sociale Sculpturen is een co-creatie met Jordi Ferreiro en kon je o.a zien in Z33 (Hasselt), Small Club (Krakov, Poland), KHOJ International Artists' Association (New Delhi, India), International Canakkale Children Beinnial (Turkije), MACBA (Barcelona), GC Ten Weyngaard (Brussel), ccBerchem en ccPuurs.
